I m using FOB at costo gas station for more than a year now here in CA.

What does one need to do to get one?
Do they:
a) group together in a crowd and wait for them to throw them out like candy at a parade
b) walk through the front gate and where they just hand them out
c) go to member services
d) all the above

didnt they discontinue this program a while back? don't think it's been possible to get a new fob for years, though I think if you have one it still works where the fob readers are available (the "select locations")

The fob has cc already on file so after you scan the fob - select gas grade - pump - you are done the receipt will automatically send to your email and stored on the app. I'm always the fastest to finish pumping because I don't need to do all the extras. Love this feature not sure why they didn't continue it for everyone.

Meanwhile at Sam's club you can do everything with your phone. Not even required to go to checkout counter

Same thing with costco credit card though. One tap only. I guess this is why they don't push costco pay fob.

Hmm maybe it changed because before I would need to enter zip code and select receipt. Those normally takes time to load.
