my favorite has been using chocolate protein, with a bit of peanut butter or PB2.
if it doesn't come out too creamy, just re-spin but i've never had any issue

What ingredients are you using. I tried many variations but just could not get it creamy.

it needs some kind of fat. you can make it simply with a water based protein shake, as long as it has some kind of fat (I look at ones with 3 g or above), or just a bit of coconut milk.
