I got excited with the Amazon offer last time (free year of grubhub+, discounted gift card) But it isn't worth it even with the best offers. Prices are way too much inflated
PP can be a douche... specially their customer service.
A few years ago, they had a huge breach in security and many gift cards were zeroed.
They never contacted customer and when people found out the hard way that their cards had zeroed balance. Their customer service reps acted all innocent and naïve as if it was the first time that they heard this issue.
Cards are still zeroed and it's a pain dealing with them.
(Cue....The people claiming they never had an issue with PP and they have done business with them for years)
Please do not tip on the app, GrubHub keeps your tips and uses them to pay me, I'm a courier.
Average delivery pay here in San Francisco is $7, that is what GrubHub will give me if you don't tip on the app.
Let's say you tip $5 on the app, I will be getting just $2 from GrubHub because in a very beginning they promised me a total of $7.
Example: if you're a bartender and your boss told you that you will make $100 tonight, if you made 80 bucks in tips then all your boss has to give you is $20 to make up for the $100 that he promised you in the very beginning.
TIP IN CASH OR DON'T TIP AT ALL.
But aren't you not going to take my order if you see that I didn't tip or violate my food? Seems like I loose either way

This ^
Drivers make TikToks bitching about no tip in app, and refuse to pick up. Sorry to the guy who wants cash but I'm not going to sit and wait for my food to get ice cold because drivers refuse to pick it up because they think I'm a cheap skate.
This deal is slick (in for 2) because 15% makes GrubHubs restaurant pricing about on par with the normal pricing off GrubHub. Best and only time to buy on GH is when you have a discounted gift card.
After many years of using doordash and in honor of their recently deteriorated customer service, i purchased a couple grubhub cards.
One thing i have learned is if we have lot of balance, they probably know that this customer isn't going anywhere ensuring bad customer service experience as opposed to someone who isn't bound by account balance and free to jump to one of the competitors. So buy the cards but don't apply to account balance until ready for use. Food for thought.
This is awesome since I get a free Grubhub+ account with prime and AMEX gold gives me a $10 per month statement credit on grubhub. Combined with the frequent promo codes and it's a slick deal for sure.

In my experience, customer service is actually pretty solid. I stack up on deals like this frequently and haven't had any more issues when having a gift card balance than not. They're actually really solid at adjusting orders or provide some type of credit whenever there's an issue or late delivery.

Interesting. Thanks for the tip. But... are you referring to the delivery guys? They can't see my balance, right? So you are referring to the actual Grubhub customer service that you call if there is a problem?

Aww,,, getting "sold out" message when I click on the link.
Side note: how do you get to this deal if you log in from paypal? When I log into the site, all I can get are links to businesses that offer X% off. Even under "flowers and gifts" there are no gift cards for sale. It was the same on the previous Dominos gift card via paypal deal yesterday... I could only see it by using SD link. TIA!

Even eBay has distance themselves from PP !!
