They need to put the 512gb on sale already. I learned my lesson to never buy any computer with 256gb SSD.

This laptop will probably be $699 during BF. So $649 with no warranty is not a great deal

The 2012 iMac came with 8GB... and apple still thinks in 2022... 8GB is enough memory. This is called planned obsolesce.

Just saw a gold 512gb on Amazon warehouse for like $850 I think.

Edit: $871 actually, but there are refurbs for cheaper if you feel like trusting those.

Not OP. However, Most likely 256 GB storage filled up quickly.
256 GB storage is a huge limiter these days with the size of multimedia files.

Promises, promises.

Apple is (or will be) making all its service businesses available on non Apple platforms - Android, Windows and MacOS. iCloud, streaming, etc.

Apple TV+ app is available on even Chromecast.

The walled garden approach is no longer their primary business model.

But there will be somethings that will be within eco system like transfers and syncs between devices, etc.
