Also 20 lb for $235. For only 24 hours. Ends today.

It is rare to have a sale in combination with free shipping. The lobster price went crazy through the pandemic. I used to get 10 lb chix for $100. This is in the deuces size (~ 2 lb). I got the email last night and it claimed to be 24 hours only. So it will end today.

We're in Boston area, and our Market Basket has them for about $8 per lbs. However, it's normally chicken size, not 1.75lbs size. We want to ship a box to TX as gift, and shipping is free, just don't know how long it gets there, though. So, it's an OK price for us, considering the size of the lobsters and free shipping.

It depends totally on where you live. Shipping and handling (packing in boxes with cool packs) is the biggest expense. If you can walk to the dock, or buy live fresh lobsters at Stop & Shop, it will be cheaper.

In Colorado where you need next day-air-shipping, $13.50 a pound shipped for large lobsters is a great price this year.

I order Maine lobsters shipped from another dealer several times a year, and only on their biggest sales. My last order of smaller 1.3LB average lobsters came to $18.60 a pound shipped.

If you live in Maine I am sure you can do better. If you do not, let me know who ships live lobsters cheaper than this. I have never bought from 207, but they seem legit. In for 10 lbs.

When I went to school in Maine, we bought lobsters $4 per lbs. They were selling them on the street

Yes - here in New England you do not pay more than $6/lb for a lobster during peak season. This year it has been more due to inflation but still below $9/lb.

Location definitely matters. ShopRite in NJ has live lobsters on sale around the 4th of July for $6-7/lb. The usual price is $10-11.
The usual price for lobster in south Florida is around $20/lb

Just curious, how do you prepare these? Ive thought about purchasing from a local grocery store and they steam them for you there, but not sure how I would do this at home, especially when they are live.

Im in South Florida, and this grocery store (a nice local one with a few locations) sometimes has 1.25-1.5lbs on sale for $13/lb, normally $17/lb.

Good price if your shipping them as a gift , or it's difficult to source in your area. I live in New England, so lobsters cheap, but shipping/packing as a gift, has always been $$$

You boil a large pot of water and toss them in to their deaths. Cook time varies by size. It's easy.
