I was just over at my son's house -- called me at 8PM to come help change the brakes on his truck. Apparently he'd dropped off the rotors to have them turned some 7 hours earlier and the shop just took an absurd amount of time to turn them.
So, it was dark. I asked where his light was and he said he had no shop lights and no extension cord even if he did. So we put on brakes with cell phone lights, lol.
In his defense, he obviously didn't plan to be putting on brakes in the dark when he took his rotors in to have them turned at noon.
So, here's one part of his Christmas! These are definitely one of those buy once cry once items. I have a yellow southwire 100ft cord my Dad gave me some 20+ years ago. Think about him and all the things we did and built together every time I use it. Mostly use it to power kids inflatable things like bounce house and giant water slide.
I don't have a problem with the 100' cord, it's weight, or size. I could see how someone might if you never needed 100' -- but I chain even my 100' together all the time. I guess such a thing is very much going to depend on what you use your cord for and where you use it. We have larger yards here than big cities -- my yard is small for the area at half an acre. 100' isn't even the length of my driveway so if I wanted to something simple like put a halloween light by end of the yard I'd have to stack 100' with something else.
So, anyway, great deal - thanks for sharing!
