If you get these 900Mbps is the best case of scenarios to a single item at close range using 160 Mhz, which makes this a top 5 mesh in terms of speeds.

Most people average speeds to a single item are around 550Mbps.

That version is also very horribly rated by most professional reviewers and extremely unstable so its a complete pass, till if they can fix the devices with firmware updates.
Sad it's still dual band instead of tri band like the orbi. Not a deal breaker, but no dedicated wireless back haul.

Traded in router I bought for $48 used from Amazon warehouse in 2018 (Archer A7) for $5 but 25% off ORIGINAL price!
With the $5 gift card it came out to $124.. 10% cash back too, so basically $112ish not bad

This is very nice for first-gen Eero users. The trade-in is a gift card (issued after they receive your junk) as well as an instant 25% off.

My eero 6 are amazing. I'm sure these are better but I'll probably just wait for the next gen.

That'd be the one I'd look into then for power users. If you don't want to run a wired backhaul.

My Orbi RBK752 has been a nightmare. I am trying to trade it in for this, but it didn't give me the 25% discount

How does this compare to an older Google wifi mesh system? Worth upgrading?

If you are refering to the original google wifi, this would be a massive upgrade, but also have to take into account that eero has some features behind a pay wall. You will see speeds 3X as fast and range probably a little better per unit.

How did you get the 25% ? It shows on product page but doesn't get applied at checkout

You have to trade in an old router. I got mine instantly but some people have to ship it first. I assume Amazon uses things like account age, purchase amounts, returns etc - but not sure

You can't name the 2.4ghz differently, can't used some of my smart devices without that functionality. Not being able to use a web browser to change settings is very frustrating. Some sort of Eero mesh came with my fiber internet, I wanted to rename my network and change the password and I couldn't figure it out. Anything would be better than this imho.
