I would definitely get an ultra for this price.

Have you seen the Ultra in person? I don't think the design is nearly as clean looking as the regular Apple Watch (although the design is getting a bit dated now...), and it's almost a little bit too large especially on smaller hands.. But if your primary use is for sports/outdoor recreation/diving and a large screen could prove more useful, then the Ultra would be a no brainer.

You can easily wear this stainless steel Apple Watch to a formal event and no one would think twice, but wearing the Ultra would look pretty out of place (unless your goal is for the shock factor)

Great deal, I paid full price for the exact model on launch day from AT&T. Absolutely love it. I thought about the Ultra for a similar price, but it wouldn't have worked as well for my work environment as a supervisor in a hospital when I have to dress up. Love this watch, would be nice to have an ultra too, but that's not a great idea for me financially.

I am debating between them….I just don't like any of the ultra bands and I read the regular bands look odd on the ultra.

Still have an S4. May get a new battery as the current one drains rather quickly, but no need to upgrade until a new design / form factor.

Yet I'll upgrade the iPhone every year release day lol

You are right, I just noticed my colleague wearing an ULTRA in our team meeting. That's huge, I indeed think twice...
