I have tried both and hue is much more reliable. Feit is NOT it. Along with other cheap brands

Why is a luxury car more expensive than a bicycle? Both do the same thing after all.

I've not personally tried the Hues yet but am thinking of getting these. I purchased the Feit 2 pack a few months ago and the colors are ridiculously dim, to the point they don't actually light anything up. However, if you just want a tunable white bulb, which is what I ended up using them for, they seem reasonably capable.

The Feit is also using Wifi with the Tuya cloud based service, whereas Hue bulbs can connect much easier locally to your home using Bluetooth or Zigbee. Also, the Hues are 1100 lumens vs the Feit's 800 lumens.

Feit does not integrate with any third party smart home hubs. Hue does. That said… I wouldn't buy either for that purpose.

Care to elaborate? Are there alternative bulbs you've found that are better performing for the price that match these specs?

how does this compare to the cheaper kasa bulbs ? they cost anything between $9 to $12 per bulb. this seems too much

Hue bulbs are the pinnacle of smart bulbs. I own Feit and a bunch of others, none compare to my room with the hues, and I've had those for like 5 years now. They just work flawlessly, unlike the others. Colors are richer, less washed out. That's what you're paying for, the added engineering for reliability and performance. Luxury car comparison is good, but I'd liken them closer to a sports car.

I have a bunch of hue bulbs, a couple of Kasa bulbs, and 9 Phillips Wiz bulbs in one light fixture. As long as you have a hue hub, the hue bulbs are much more responsive and much brighter than the other bulbs. The Kasa bulbs are very dim, even at their brightest setting. The Philips Wiz bulbs are extremely laggy... Thanks for the post OP, I'm in!
