Got the 32gb for $99
I have a few of the previous generations (4k first gen 2017) in 64gb and never needed the extra space.

I've used Roku, firetstick, builtin sony and samsung streamers. Apple TV is my favorite by far. You can use your regular tv remote to control apple tv. If you have an iphone it will auto pause tv when you get a call i you want.

FYI- Apple just released the a new 2022 version. This deal is for the 2021 version
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/App...generation)

4K (first generation)
At an Apple Special Event on September 12, 2017, Apple announced the Apple TV 4K which supports 2160p output, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and includes a faster Apple A10X Fusion chip supporting HEVC hardware decoding. Dolby Atmos support was added in tvOS 12. Following the announcement of the new models, the 64 GB version of the Apple TV HD was discontinued. Externally it is similar to the 4th generation model, with the only differences being the addition of vents on the base, the removal of the USB-C port, and the addition of a tactile white ring around the Menu button on the included Siri Remote.

4K (second generation)
On April 20, 2021, Apple announced an updated Apple TV 4K with the A12 Bionic chip, support for high frame rate HDR, HDMI 2.1, and Wi-Fi 6. Its HDMI port supports ARC and eARC, which allows other sources plugged into the television to output audio through Apple TV, including to AirPlay speakers like HomePod. It also has the ability to pair with the ambient light sensor on iPhones with Face ID to optimize its color output, a feature that was also extended to older Apple TVs with tvOS 14.5. AirPlay supports high frame rate HDR playback, allowing videos shot on the iPhone 12 Pro in Dolby Vision 4K 60fps to be mirrored in full resolution. Following the announcement, the previous Apple TV 4K with an A10X Fusion chip was discontinued.

The model also comes with a thicker redesigned Siri Remote with a circular touchpad with navigational buttons, as well as power and mute buttons. The remote does not include an accelerometer and gyroscope, which were present in the previous Siri Remote, making it incompatible with some games. The remote is compatible with previous generation tvOS-based Apple TVs and ships with an updated SKU of the Apple TV HD.

4K (third generation)
On October 18, 2022, Apple announced an updated Apple TV 4K with the A15 Bionic chip, reduced weight and dimensions, and support for HDR10+. It comes in two configurations, a Wi-Fi-only model with 64 GB of storage, and a higher-priced 128GB model with Wi-Fi, Ethernet and a Thread radio. The included Siri Remote charges via USB-C instead of Lightning.
I still use my AppleTV from 2018 and it's faster than my 2021 Firestick. You'll get 6 years out of this so it's worth 3 firesticks plus you won't get bombarded by amazon and can do screen mirroring if you have an iphone. what would you rather have?
For comparison, the 2022 versions step up to the A15 processor (2021 has A12) and adds HDR+ support.

64GB is $129, but removes Ethernet port for wifi only connections.
128GB model is $149 and retains the ethernet port

FWIW, Costco has the same price, but has a better deal vs. Amazon if you add AppleCare+

I have constant issues with the Crunchyroll and HiDive app on my Roku Ultra, on a 4K TV. Going to grab on of these and see if it's better.

It seems many anime fans don't actually run 4K TVs as I get a gaggle of "Mine is fine" when I report complaints only to have CR come back and says "Yeah it's a problem with the Ultra when using a 4K TV"

Yes, would buy from Costco over Amazon b/c they have a better return policy and free extended warranty. I've owned ATVs since the 2nd gen. It's one of two Apple products I've never had fail on me. AppleCare+ for them isn't really necessary.

Just got back from Costco and they had this price in store. FWIW the Crunchyroll and HiDive apps are so far WAY better than Roku

32 GB is coming up as $109.99 for me. 64 GB shows the $119.99 price mentioned, however.

Looks like the new 2022 version got a HUGE price cut. It starts at $129 for 64GB version. I can't decide if this is good or if it is better to get the new one. I guess it depends on if I need Ethernet or not.

I don't think I need the extra power or space and I like the option for Ethernet.

The main reason I want the 2021 (or the 2022) version is for the ARC / eARC functionality.

I have this and is a great investment. The remote control is awesome and in a year i only charged it once if anyone is concern about using lighting cable to charge. Ui is smooth just like an iphone. I see no reason to upgrade to 2022 version

Have to imagine there will be some deals on the 2022 models in about a month. Apple had a 50 gift card offer last year on the 2021 model around Thanksgiving. Maybe not that much of an offer this year since the new model is cheaper. But would expect something.

It's not really a price cut because the charge cable, ENET, and Thread support was deleted from the 64GB 2022. That and falling storage prices is how the price was substantially reduced. The 128GB model is $20 cheaper than last year's 64GB, but the extra storage is useless unless you play iTunes games. And, of course, if you don't need ENET or Thread then the 2022 may make sense because it's at least one more year of Apple supporting it with tvOS updates.

Otherwise the 32GB for $99 I find more useful since it has ENET, Thread support, ARC. I have two 2017 4Ks and 1 2021. The 2017s have A10 and are still plenty fast when it comes to both scrolling and REW and FF inside of apps. I just picked up another 2021 model to replace a 2017 just because of the remote. I'll put the 2017 on an HD set I hardly use and still has an ATV HD on it -- that one is painfully slow.

Solid deal. I'm running three ATV 4K 1st Gen and one ATV 4th Gen - all still run smooth and plenty fast to stream tV/movies. Maybe it's time to grab one of these. Hmm…
