Any thoughts? Good product? I have the nordictrac 50lb that were on sale last year. Thinking of getting these for my son to use

I read that they clank and make noise and even fall, making them possibly dangerous.

For the price I decided to give them a try, and see how careful I have to be, or how dangerous they really are but I wouldn't want to get them for my son (in case).
