Does this work for paying off A list dues ?
Sorry not an A lister. If recurring payment, might not work. But you can use it to pay for food and drinks.
With Subway, IHOP & Outback Steakhouse, it has a pretty decent selection. I'm tempted to buy a bunch to give out for Christmas gifts, and at the same time get a bunch of points on my Southwest Airlines Visa card.......

So instead of saving you ended getting nothing….couldn't you contest with your credit card company?
Credit card wants proof and there's no way to prove what happened since I can't get a straight answer as to who is at fault and what happened. All I know is I went out, opened the card, scratched it off and it couldn't be processed. Called and got the run around.
Nope.
I'd try to get transaction list from GC company. If they can provide something, that should serve as proof to CC company.
