I also just need the pole saw only, would prefer corded for better power but will do cordless too, though at this price I am not sure it sound like still worth getting this since pole alone will cost a good amount and just the saws are $60-$70 these days.

Arw these decent quality, I don't want one that will bind or kick back or cause other serious issues due to chain design or due to not having enough power? I wouldn't one getting stuck in a tree branch with no way for me to get up and remove it. Should I just buy a saw with a pole and just cut it myself manually jumping up and down? But those won't have enough leverage over branch st that distance.

That being said, I bought from an authorized retailer. It looks like Woot is not an authorized dealer

It's apples to oranges, but I bought this kit with a weed Wacker instead of a leaf blower 2 years ago. I have a small yard and the battery doesn't make the full perimeter of my yard. Could be I got a dud battery, but felt I should put that out there.
