Good specs and thumbs up, but just wanted to note PrivacyGuard screens are not too popular, poor viewing angles and picture:

Edit: here's this exact model demo'd with the privacy screen: https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad...are_button

And an older discussion:

500 nits is nice but definitely not going to be as bright and vibrant as one without PrivacyGuard

The link you have shared is 2 years old and that model was having their 2nd gen privacy Guard technology. The newer models have their 3rd and 4th gen Privacy Guard version and they are pretty good. Obviously, they are not going to be as sharp and clear as a normal IPS panel but the reviews I have checked in Notebookcheck of the latest privacy Guard display, apart from slight graininess and a bit loss of brightness, not anything major unlike the past privacy Displays.

Fair point, I just updated my post with a video of the current x13 with the privacy screen so people can draw their own conclusions

As someone who has owned 10+ Thinkpad, trust me, do not get the PrivacyGuard screens. They are horrible. Opt for any other 400+ nit screen.

This generation is still pretty bad

I would love to get this if it did not have the Privacy Guard screen. Lenovo is really mucking up their product configurations for the X13 this year. Don't they realize that a lot of people are holding back because of the screen? The 6650u model with the 300nit screen at ~$825 is a GREAT deal, but I'd like to have the 6850u with the significantly better 680M iGPU graphics.

The other product configuration problem is they are shipping these X13's with the 41whr battery instead of the 54whr one. Really silly.

I mostly dock my laptop at the office with 3 monitors and the laptop lid closed. Specs wise this thing is loaded, should I snag it? I'm due for an upgrade at work.
