I have this. No complaints. It isn't a high end TV, but it's snappy and does the job. Worth 350 all day.

edit: thumbs down? just giving an honest opinion based on about 10 months of use. It doesn't compare to a nice set with local dimming, etc (have a TCL 6 series), but if you are looking for a big, cheap TV... here you go.

does anyone know if you are on trial then will you be able to buy it early or do you have to become a paid member?
You have to be a paid member to get early access. 12.95 just for the month of October leading into November, I promise it's worth it.
2 years ago that's how I got a 65 inch ONN Roku tv 250.00. And a PlayStation 5. Given to Paid members 4 hrs before given to the public 🥳.

I have 65 Onn from 2020, registered for extended two warranty, and tv stopped working end of July this year. Onn/Walmart refuse to honor warranty. I won't buy another tv from Walmart with run around I've been dealing with for over two months now.. They have been no help on line, email, or phone calls…just terrible.

Anyone currently using this TV? What are your thoughts?
I have this exact model, I love it. It's like TCL budget TV. Fast Roku OS. I had to get van to pickup this tv. It's huge.

Also make you have huge TV stand because it's legs are way far away. You will need 70 inch TV stand.

I've had a 50" for about 3 years now. Still going strong, my only complaint is it takes longer than all my other tvs to turn on.

I've been using the 65" version of this that went on sale for ~$250 during Black Friday a few years ago. It's held up decent as my main living room TV. Nothing mind-blowing, but bright enough, and nothing looks outright bad on it. The black levels are pretty meh, but I do use an OLED monitor so that may be my standards from that speaking. That being said, despite me using that monitor daily I also use the TV daily and the size/convenience of sitting down and watching TV is more than enough for me to still use it very often. The only thing that has been frustrating me lately is the built-in Roku interface has been slowing to a crawl the last 6 months, but I have an external Roku I'm thinking of using to remedy that. Also, as another user said, the built-in sound is pretty garbage, but hook up a cheap soundbar and you'll be fine.

For another data point, I recently got the 50" u6h from the Prime Day sale and I put it directly next to this set to see if it was worth it to upgrade to a higher tier TV. Everything did look better on the u6h, but by maybe 20-30%. I personally decided to wait for a good deal on a larger TV to come around, but your viewing habits and standards may change that. Happy hunting everyone 🙂
Other than the meh blackness and blah sound, is moving from a 50 to 65 significantly different? I have two 50 ( had three but I gave it away ) now I'm thinking to get bigger TV and retire both 50 as I mostly watch TV before sleep. TIA

Any idea how this compares to TCL 65" Roku 4K Smart Ultra HDTV? Our local Fred Mayer has it for $350. 5" not as big of a deal if TCL is a better TV.

A hard reset won't fix Roku speed. But what does is updating your apps. Click on the asterisk while over the app you want to update. Takes 30 seconds. Made a huge difference in my 4 and 6 series.

Depends. 3 and 4 series it's probably a wash. Parts are easier to find if your boards go out. TCL has had issues with TCon boards. They've $20 on ebay and take 5 minutes to replace.

It really did for me personally. The 50" is in my bedroom now and the size for the space is *fine*, but when I want to be immersed in what I'm watching I always go for the bigger size. In a living room I think it matters more, since the distance you sit from the tv is larger and a bigger tv allows more guests to view comfortablly.

It's also funny how small 50" looks sitting next to a 65", as when I was doing my comparison between them it looked to be half the size.

Got this during Black Friday last year. It's a decent tv, roku os doesn't lag so the cpu they put in it is sufficient.

Panel is not the best but it does the job. There's definitely some white light bleed during black screens so you see the dirty screen effect
