I see their still pushing that amazing 8gb DDR3 RAM too. Pretty sweet if this was like 15yrs ago or if you're just into planned obsolescence.

M1 uses LPDDR4X minimum. Didn't exist 15 years ago. 8 gigabytes may not be enough for power users, but this is the base model. If you want more, you gotta pay the Apple tax. This will be plenty for people who don't know for sure they need more. And everybody who does know what they're doing shouldn't be buying a Mac new anyways
