Probably 15 or more years ago, I bought a box of these for a kid. I guess I shouldn't have been shocked at the poor quality as compared to what I'd buy as a kid in the early-mid '50s, however, I was. Wasn't anything remotely like those back then. It was just junk, not worthy of consumption.

A word of advice to anyone who eats these: Do not pour the bag directly into your mouth or eat without inspecting it first. Pour into your hand or a bowl and inspect what you are about to eat or you might be eating something that i found in some of my boxes after i ate some of them.

I would think the qc is better with bags vs boxes depending on the retailer and how they were stored. I dont think the issue was fromvthe manufacturing process.
