got the 3d chair yesterday and thought i'd share some experience. delivery guy said it was the 4th one that day but only one with the installation. apparently folks are not selecting the free $99 installation option on the item page. they set it up, connected the foot rest and went through a brief testing to make sure it works. also took away all the packaging. we have it in the corner of the great room next to the tv. its a large room so it doesn't stand out like i though it might. it does look like a pretty high tech looking quality chair. it might be bit out of place in a more traditional decor.

everyone in the family had good things to say about it. in fact, wife fell asleep in the massage chair last night. very relaxing massage overall. there are rollers on the bottom of foot rest as well as on the calf section. the calf section also rocks back and forth for "kneading" action while airbags are inflated. its also neat that it will grab onto the feet using air bags then the foot rest gently pulls the legs for a nice stretch.

it will also hold on to the shoulders using airbags then 3d rollers will push up on the back and create an arch for a nice stretch. rollers go from the head / neck area all the way down to the butt so its a pretty long track. there are 21 preset massages but haven't tried them all yet. there does seem to be variety to the programming from the few i've tried. during programmed operation, settings such as back intensity, airbag intensity and foot roller intensity can be adjusted. there is a manual mode where all settings such as massage speed and others can be adjusted which i haven't tried yet.

heating in the lower back does work and there are 3 levels that can be selected. bt audio does pretty good job and better than what i expected. besides, these speakers won't be used for jamming anyway. still have to work through all the options so it will take some time to get a full picture.

now for some issues...one thing i would have liked is lighted keys on the remote. while the screen is backlit, buttons are not so its bit difficult to navigate in a darker room. i guess it might be a non issue once i get familiar with the button layout. also placement of the control knob on the arm rests sometimes causes it to turn on when you accidently bump the button while getting up from the chair. for some reason the back intensity setting didn't seem to have much difference between lowest and highest setting. may need to try more to tell for sure. when going through the initial body scan, for some reason it asks to manually adjust the shoulder height. not sure if that is supposed to be done automatically but detracts from the full auto experience.

EDIT:

shoulder height issue noted above is normal per the osaki/titan manual. insignia manual isn't very clear. osaki/titan manual has better explanation.

2) Shoulder position adjustment
·After detecting the shoulder position, the buzzer will beep. If there is any difference
from the actual shoulder position, adjust it to the appropriate position by pressing
the "UP" or "DOWN" key. The shoulder position has 11 adjustable levels. If there is
no shoulder position adjustment within 10 seconds, the massage function will start
automatically. Press "OK" directly to start massage immediately. If no shoulder
position can be detected, massage will be started according to the shoulder height
by default.

I bought this last time it was on sale for a thousand bucks. No regrets. Great purchase. Just make sure that your TV is mounted high enough on the wall so that you can see all of it in full recline...

5-10; 215 lbs - just got this last week from when it was last at this price. It would depend more on how long your torso is and it may not get all the way up to your neck(it does for me but just barely). Also note that it's lower to the ground(14") - it doesn't recline but I got something that would allow me to put my legs up that's around ~12"

I'm a bit skeptical on the quality for a 200$ chair. Massage chairs used to be ~2000$.. can you please let me know on what you liked about it? Maybe Quality or massages etc?
I bought it last week when it was "Deal of the Day" at the same price. I think it was worth $200 for my purpose. I don't need anything fancy. It is for my in-laws, and they need something simple. The chair is stylish enough that they thought it was worth a lot more than $200 (obviously I didn't tell them the price).

If you are looking for fancy and powerful massage chair, then you probably need to spend a bit more. But if you just want something simple and comfy, then this one will do it. I kinda like how it massages my butt too, lol.

My biggest complaint about the $200 chair is it's very narrow in the shoulders. I'm 5'11 but wide shoulders and it crushes them. I can deal with the discomfort tho as it looks good, small footprint and it does a good job for $200.

I bought this last January (2d)...best purchase ever!! I use it every day. If I cannot sleep at night, I use it and fall asleep right away. I am so tempted to buy the 3d one.

Got this last week, had the chair for about 3 days. I'm 5'9" and the chair works great for $200. Quality seems reasonable. No issues with setup and use. I'll say that the neck massage part was too wide for my neck - never touched my neck - and I don't think is adjustable. Plus it goes higher up - probaby for taller people - went up to the back of my head. But for upper/mid back was very solid feeling and strong massage. Wish the lower part was a bit stronger. Doesn't really do much for anything lower imo - the butt massage wasn't beneficial I felt, so just ended up not using that feature.

Are these chairs comfortable enough to sit in and watch an entire football game? Might sound like a dumb question, but I've never sat in one and I'm also looking for an all-purpose chair for the living room.

I'm highly entertaining the idea of getting a massage chair. I hurt my back recently, and even before that, I was thinking it was worth the $5,000+ price tag for some pain relief for the household. I'm just wondering what would be comparable to that one I tested from 4 years ago. It massaged my legs, back, arms, pretty much everything I could hope for without a masseuse. I'm not sure the $200 would even do anything for me that I'm expecting.

I have a foot massager, and it was the best thing I'd ever had, until I got the lower leg massager.

I have a back massage pad, so I'm looking for something more. I was just approved for a credit card with$1,700 and no interest for 15 months, and I don't want to try to get another one right away, so I'm thinking about one in my credit limit. Of course I can add money, but are these actually a decent quality product compared to more mainstream brands?

Read through all the comments but it's confusing to know enough chair the above 6 ft people found useful.

Anyone over 6 ft that loves the 2D chair? I'm looking for really good massages but just something that one would regret after 6 months and then have to invest in an even more expensive chair. Hence the question- Is it good for the money, as in good because it's a great deal, or just Good?

went with the $1600 3d chair. been in the market for some time and this seems to fit bit bill with regards 3d unit / features and price.. for one thing its heavier at 280lb vs 180lb on the 2d version. power draw is also higher at 150w vs 120w. suspect 3d chair is using beefier motors for the 3d unit. they both seems to be using the sl track which is supposed to be the best version.. 3d version does have more massage preset modes (21 vs 6) and additional 'grasping' massage due to the 3d motion. 3d also means intensity of the massage can be adjusted to one's liking. delivery/setup which is usually $99 was also free and was given a nov2 appointment. used chase for 5% back thru paypal (upto $1500).
