Decent deal, but always consider with LG OLEDs whether you need the best available model. Improvements tend to be pretty incremental, and prices are always much lower for the previous year's models. Also consider that the C panels are only slightly worse than the G ones, especially if you're not wall-mounting and don't benefit from the gallery design.
A few weeks ago I got a C1 from last year, 65" for $1450 at Cleveland Plasma (total, zero shipping/tax) -- not quite their standard price, but to get the sale they beat the current Amazon deal even with their 10% back. C2 or even G2 are only better in minor ways. Paying $1800 or so for the C2, or this $1950 for the G2 doesn't really make sense for my needs. If I wanted those badly enough I'd just wait a year and save $300-400.
Mission Viejo CA best buy has an excellent condition 77 inch G2 for $2250 if anyone is interested. I was tempted but it's a pain to upgrade and move around older tvs. C8 OLED is still working flawlessly.
Appreciate seeing the price drop tips for Dec (holidays) and Feb (after Super Bowl).
Last June the G1s were an additional 20% off; will that happen for the G2s in 2023? Would prefer the 77" over the 65", but $3K is a psychological barrier. 😅 And the 77" G2 deal happens to be the worst % discount on BuyDig among the C2 and G2 at 65 and 77.

Is this an open box unit or something? That is the best price I've ever heard of on a 77" G2.

June pricing all depends on what stock is left over and how badly they need to move it...impossible to predict. 77G2 is probably sub 3K at this point if you look on AVS forum and call one of the trusted dealers on there and get the best price without giftcard/warranties that can't be posted publicly. (hint: buydig is one of them). The Lowes deal that comes in and out of stock on the 77G2 is $2750 after the 10% off coupon that you can buy for a few bucks.
Yes, open box listed as excellent condition. Still comes with full warranty
So you apparently you can't call a BestBuy store, they run things through a national phone service now and there is no way to talk to the store. Not sure when they switched to that but it sounds like it has been a while. I called in and they said the TV isn't in stock there. I'm wondering if it actually is and inventory isn't updated. There is a second on the website to check for open box items and the TV isn't showing up when I select that store. If I could just talk to someone at the store and verify it is actually there, I'd drive my ass the 2 hours down there to get that TV at that price in a heart beat.
