I got three of these with the last deal using an Amex offer. Nice size and convenient to carry around, but the battery pack only charges at around 7w and takes forever. Hardly use it anymore because most of the time when we find it around the house, it's dead and takes about 2-3hr to charge.
The best use case I can think of is if you are traveling and only have a USB-c charger with you, this will let you charge your iPhone along with your laptop, iPad Pro, and others.
I would not buy at this price.

Just FYI, this seems to be the older model to the newer 621.

I have one of these. My experience:

1) You can't overnight charge it like you would a normal wireless charger if you have battery protection on since it requires "activation." My phone will stop at 80%, turn the charger off, and since the phone doesn't have hands, it can't retrigger when it's getting ready for me to wake up to charge the extra 20%

2) 5,000 mAh isn't a ton. I enjoy it because the iPhone Mini's battery is so tiny, but due to the inefficiency of Qi vs a wired connection, don't expect a 1:1 charge ratio.

3) It's a really great idea and despite the drawbacks, I don't usually leave home without mine.

I just upgraded to a 14 Pro Max. Are these MagSafe deals common enough to wait for a newer model?

I've never seen them on sale before. I own both this and the newer 622. I prefer this version. I don't care for the flap on the 622. Capacity is the same. I picked another of these up.

Agree w this. I have 3 and no issues at all, but newer model slips off of the 14 pro max FWIW. Maybe just me, food for thought

Thumbs up! This is the first time I can recall ever seeing a deal on one of these magnetic chargers.

Have one of these and getting a second or maybe a third! Planning to 3D print a dock for grab & go.

First time I have seen it on sale. I bought one open box on this model and had no issue with it. You have a 14 Pro Max and I have a 13 Pro Max. I have never had to use it because the battery life is so good. My wife uses it on vacation once in awhile on her standard 13. It is a piece of mind product if you really need it. For charging speeds this is certainly not slow for a 10W wireless charger so I do not see it as an issue where you would want to wait for the next generation.

Just a heads up that I got the Mophie version of this charger for my iPhone 13 Pro but it fits poorly with the 14 Pro because of the larger camera bump smh.

I've got a couple of these and various other magnetic batteries, and this is my preferred one. It's perfectly sized for the iPhone 12/13 Mini.

Just picked up a 14 pro and been researching magsafe battery banks. For the price, better to try the anker and this method of charging than finding out I hate it with $100 apple version.
