This is only good deal if you have extra desktop ram/ssd around. Otherwise, if you count buying 16gb ram and 1tb ssd, you will pay additional 150 to make it relevant.

Photos show both RX 5500 and a GeForce 1650 super. Does that make any difference? Computer noob here but looking to get something for my little sister to play on. She mainly plays Minecraft, Fortnite, Roblox. She wants to play Minecraft Java though so I figure this is more than enough.

This is a rocking deal. Tempted as a family machine / light gaming machine. Though there are issues with upgradability on this model - look at previous slick deal posts and convos for this machine.

If you look at the review.....
The 5500xt uses less power and performs better than other cards.

It is a nice little card....
I doubt you will be able to get a vastly better card in the system due to both power and heat dissipation. Vendors rarely provide PSUs in prebuilts that can handle vastly more load unless the model supports stronger cards out of the box and even then they usually adjust the PSU based on the GPU installed. Save every penny on costs.

This is a great system as is for the price.

If the RAM comes as a single stick you would want to get another 8GB to run in dual channel mode as AMD greatly benefits from this. And as long as it has space for another SSD, there really isn't any other upgrades you would need to do on this system. Upgrading the GPU would be severely limited due to the PSU.

Both cards are basically the same. Personally I would go with the 5500 to just keep it all AMD, but it really should not matter. And I agree that it should play all of the games you mentioned just fine.
