For just $20 more you probably should get the 128gb model, it comes with an ethernet port and an extra 64gb of RAM. Seems pretty nice for just $20 more.

also sold pretty much everywhere, I used best buy since I could burn some reward certs.
If you think you'll use the Ethernet port, then sure. I have a 32GB Apple TV 4K (2021) and have never even thought about the amount of storage it has. Maybe if you're gaming heavily it could become relevant, but for me I can't imagine using 64GB much less 128GB.
Another reason to get the 128GB model is Thread networking support, if you want an Apple-centric smarthome and don't already have a hub.
But if you're buying this for a bedroom that doesn't have ethernet already, you'll likely never miss the ethernet, extra 64GB storage, or Thread support. Performance over WiFi 6 is plenty fast.

Devices that sit on a shelf (especially with no moving parts like a hard drive) are very unlikely to fail after their break-in period (where the normal warranty will cover you).
I get AppleCare+ on my phone/watch to cover accidental damage situations, but I'm 100% comfortable having no extra coverage on an AppleTV.
Edit: I also get AppleCare+ on my phone/watch to cover battery replacement since that's a fairly common issue. But again, not relevant for AppleTV.

Apple breaks down the differences between the two Apple TV 4K models over on the specs page, and this Thread networking difference was baffling to some users. With the 2021 Apple TV 4K, both the 32GB and the 64GB versions had Thread support. As Apple and other companies work to grow the Matter standard as the new go-to for smart devices, they're segmenting one of the features that make the Apple TV attractive as a smart-home device.

If you are in Google or Alexa ecosystem, bringing Apple TV there is hard (could use home assistant but not as seamless).
