We use these in a laboratory setting that isn't very conducive to separate mice and keyboards. While the K400 can't be beat for convenience, its compressed layout is infuriating to type on when accuracy matters. If some of my code breaks, I usually walk to another terminal to fix it instead of trying to hack out even one line on this thing.
I last purchased one of these from Amazon 2 years ago for $17.99.

Of course, that seems a lifetime ago now. Over the summer I think the lowest I recall seeing is $25. So unless prices fall off a cliff this winter, you probably won't see the K400+ get any lower.

Best keyboard for HTPC, hands down.
The K400 Plus is a horrible replacement for the K400. It's a really bad keyboard ergonomically. The K400 I can use for hours and hours. The K400 Plus made my hands cramp horribly and I had to stop using it after 30 minutes and return to using my old K400.

Thanks! I've had an alert set for this since my last one got a whole glass of water spilled on it by my wonderful and clumsy girlfriend. Maybe I'll even opt for the warranty this time.

This is for a steamlink setup for bed use. Works great when not wet.

Shoot. This one uses a tiny USB receiver for its wireless functionality. Unfortunately, won't work for an iPad (unless you want to get really complicated using a USB-C dongle on an iPad Pro, but that defeats the purpose of wireless).

Any recommendations for a portable (not full size) Bluetooth keyboard, with or without trackpad? Asking for an iPad-owning friend..

I've been eyeing one of these for a while now. Looking to use it as a travel keyboard so I can leave the laptop connected to the TV while I lay in bed.

I have three 85" TVs in the house all running off one computer as a media/internet center. Two TVs upstairs one downstairs.

I run three Logitech wireless keyboards off of it so I don't have to take keyboard with me, I have two K400 (not the plus) and a K600.

They work excellently, I mean excellently. I have the receiver on a USB extension so it is near the top of my stairs so it is central, one of my TVs is in a closed room and the reception is perfect, the bluetooth really works well on these.

Only issue with these is if you put it in sleep mode the dang keyboard will not take the computer out of sleep mode.

I really recommend the K400 over the K400+ but get the K600 when it goes on sale (it runs $60 can grab it for $40). The K600 allows you to use three devices on it and it is super easy to switch just hit the 1 2 or 3 key and it changes devices, works flawlessly on my Galaxy tablets as well as PC. The K600 also has extra keys that work great for scrolling through the TV or websites. That said the K600 keypad is sort of shifted and many times your left hand falls in the wrong position.

Overall the K400 is the absolute best bluetooth keyboard/mouse pad there is, the K600 is great if you want to run multiple devices from one.

I own and use both daily for media center pc keyboards. I prefer the K400 Plus over the K400. For me, the addition of a back button and volume controls above the track pad make it a better experience. If I were typing for hours on one or the other I could potentially see it different - but I wouldn't be using either that long before I switched to something more substantial.

My i key stopped working on my K400 last week after many years, so I'm thankful to replace with this. I'm dreading the day my K830 breaks - hopefully something comes along with a back-light before I lose it.

I picked up the Logitech K480 when it was $20. Personally, I dislike it because I find the keys hard to push down, but my son uses it at school with his iPad daily and loves it.
