List Price: $1,996.95. Recently went on sale for $1,899.95 and I pulled the trigger. Today I got a camelcamelcamel notification that it dropped to a whooping $1,749.00.

It's a great mirrorless camera by Nikon, released in 2020.
  • Nikon Z-mount for lenses
  • Full-frame (35.9 x 23.9 mm) 24.5-megapixel (6048 x 402) CMOS sensor
  • Two memory card slots:
    • SD card slot
    • CFexpress/XQD card slot
  • Dual EXPEED 6 image processing engines
  • Can record 4K "Ultra HD" footage at 60p in DX-crop mode
There were some issues with auto-focus noted by the reviewers when the camera first got out but those were fixed in the later firmware versions.

Personally I'll be using it together with NIKON NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 lens (also on sale [amazon.com] everywhere, $100 off, final price $696.95) to shoot portraits.

Just a PSA, I had the OG Z6 then upgraded to the Z7 II. The Z7II has the same AF system as the Z6 II. Agree it's a great camera, beautiful Nikon colors. But… the AF was never really fixed. Nikon did the best they could but eye AF is not much better than the OG Z6 to be honest. Its a perfect body for portraits, still landscapes and travel, anything that isn't in motion. The Z6 II/Z7 II are not the bodies to buy for sports or wildlife though.
