If you get this 14" bar, could you replace it with a better and longer bar, say an Oregon 16" or 18"?

The reviews on Amazon mentioned the housing is the same on the 14" and 16" bar models (obviously do your own research). Another mentioned it didn't generate enough power for an 18" bar.

I'm buying to sell the batteries and have a close to net $0 cost

Yep this...mine does fine have taken down multiple trees on my property and it does stall out a bit if you really push it. The longer the bar the more it will struggle in general.

Thanks! I was holding out for the 16" bar version but I think I'll try this out as is and maybe upgrade to 16" Oregon bar later.

What are you huffing to think you're selling 4 used batteries for $200+?

He thinks that everything on Woot is used... more than likely these are fully refurbished, damaged box, overstock or customer returns

Some manufacturers don't honor warranties when the item isn't sold by an official partner. Woot isn't an official partner of anyone since they buy a lot of their stock from retailers trying to liquidate. At least this was the case before they were owned by amazon

Not who you were accusing of being high but I have regularly bought kits and sold a pair of 5Ah for 120 locally. So 240 for four. I'm really tempted to do it again here.

No Makita warranty kills this for me. One defective battery would eat up the 100.00 savings

Agreed, the Woot 90 day, vs Makita's 3 year is quite a stark contrast.
