this!! : saves you the build/test/install time to boot which is pretty significant if you value your time
Years ago, there was a significant cost difference between building your own vs buying pre-built. Those days are long gone, though and in fact reversed, so while I used to actually find a bit of pride in building my own computer, I am much older and wiser and realize that ain't nobody got time for that! Stick Out Tongue

Pricing this exact computer out using PC Parts picker is going to cost you more than this price, and it won't even be that close from what I can tell (I stopped adding parts when it was more than $100 above this price).

Excludes time of course and importantly, a Costco warranty (which is definitely worth something, but I don't know what).

Finally, one thing I learned over the years as I built/upgraded my computers less frequently: unless you are doing that REGULARLY, you forget stuff. You might skip a step. Or you might not remember a trick or whatever...I just remember each build being more difficult because I had forgotten something small, and it caused a hiccup, and a delay, etc. It's not rocket science, but there are definite tricks and tips that can avoid sitting and staring at your torn open box, with its guts and wires all over, wondering why it won't boot. Big Grin

Horrible pc for the money.
The only thing that matters is the gpu 3060.
A performance pc is built around the gpu.
A 3060 Black Friday sale should be $800 or less.
A non Black Friday sale for a 3060 should be $900 or less.

And q all the comments about upgrading… when those people have no intention of even buying the pc
Yeah 800 would be an awesome deal. I'm going to wait till actually BF in few weeks.

Costco price adjusts for Black Friday so you can purchase this at cost now, then contact them on Black Friday for the price adjustment in the form of Costco in-store credit. Worth it for those not wanting to miss out on this

Has anyone done a drill-down part by part and compared the total cost to build versus the prebuilt price of $1100?

I recently listed my ibuypower i9 12900kf rtx 3080 setup I bought 6 months ago from a slickdeal but the best offer I've received is 1600. I didn't want to spend as much as I did and it's overkill for my use case but I don't think it's worth losing the i9, 3080, z690, 360mm addressable cooler, 750w ps and lian li case to save 520 after tax on this unit. If I hadn't bought that one though I'd all over this.

I use it for video editing in premiere but seeing the 3080 is so stout maybe I'll get back into gaming.

Back then everyone kept saying wait for prices to drop as they always do on here but since then they haven't dropped beyond the normal computer depreciation of pre covid times.

In spring you could only get 11th gen 3060 builds at this price. I was dead set on a 12th due to its improved architecture and upgradability(to 13th if one wanted). I've seen decent big box brand desktops since but they always have something that turns me off(proprietary parts or poor thermal cases)

I bought this ibuypower at Costco $1350 + shipping + tax. Tempting to return it to get the MSI, I know the ibuypower's GPU is Ti but MSI's RAM & SSD is better. Please kindly advise which one is better in long term.

This is an okay deal, I wouldn't buy a 3060 though
You realize most people still game at 1080p and don't have a 3000 series gpu at all right?

My friends both have 1660s and I have a 1070ti. My friend who is an indie dev still uses his 1080. The top like 20 spots of the Steam Hardware survey would love to have this PC.

My current one has Win10pro, which I guess I would prefer to keep over Win11Home. How does one go about swapping Windows keys these days?
