They will charge us today but ship in December? No thanks.
GPU is roughly 1050Ti level for those who are curious.
It's nearly 2023 and desktop machines are STILL shipping without HDMI 2.1. Ridiculous.

I ordered the UM690. I plan on mounting behind my monitor. Does anyone know what to get to have easier access to power buttons? Or does the BIOS have wake from keyboard as an option?

Review is out from ETAPrime:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1ay-vityEY&t=4s

As per the review:
  • This is the best Ryzen 6000 based Mini PC yet.
  • The Thermal Design is extremely good due to dual heatpipe, properly designed Air Intake and ventilation and Liquid metal Cooling. As per the testing, the max temp was just 76 degree C and average around 70 degree C during gaming while running it at 55W constantly. It can be tweaked to higher TDP and still within 80 degree C.
  • Unlike Laptop Ram configurations limited to DDR5 4800, this has configurable Ram setting and can work with higher speed Rams like DDR5-5600. ETAPrime was able to overclocked the DDR5-4800 to 5200 MHz from BIOS.
  • Officially confirming Thunderbolt 3 eGPU dock support. In this test, he ran it with a RTX 3060.

Or just use a Type-C to HDMI 2.1 cable and use the USB4 Type-C Port instead.
So if I got something like this https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Fu...46V8X?th=1

I could plug that into a mini-pc like this and output 4k 120hz? I'm looking for a replacement for my steamlink to use those specs through Moonlight

Yes, you can do that with the USB4 Type-C port on this one.

How does this compare to Limited-time deal: Mini PC Windows 11 Pro EliteMini HX90 AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX Mini Computers 32 GB RAM 512 GB PCIe SSD, Support 2X 2.5 inch HDD, 2X HDMI / 2X DisplayPort, 1x 2.5G RJ45, 5X USB 3.0,1x USB-C, 2X MIC https://a.co/d/3KVjKgT

It seems like it's near identical specs and ends up cheaper than adding the RAM and storage through the store

The 6900hx has a significantly faster iGPU and decently faster CPU. It also uses DDR5 instead of DDR4, and I'm pretty sure it supports PCIE4.0 as well for SSDs

Just keep in mind there are some short comings like no VRR. Also, it seems many people report having to unplug and plug the cable due to random black screens. That being said, I will prob get the Cable Matters adapter.

My order still hasn't shipped. Has anyone else received there's yet?

Thanks, that's info I haven't been finding. I ended up just getting a really long (15m) fiber optic HDMI cable to run to my VRR capable 4k TV since it's just in the next room from one of my gaming systems. Same with USB hub for controllers and keyboard/mouse. I think I'll delay finding a system to stream games to the TV with until HDMI 2.1 becomes more common. What little testing I've done with VRR isn't super noticeable to me so I probably won't worry about it at that point.

Honestly think that's a better solution than streaming. Direct from the source. Of course, it depends on the specifics, but if the monitors are sharing a wall, for example, you wouldn't even need long cables or hubs, just punch a hole through the wall and plug in directly to the PC.

How is it compared to https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mini-P...1836353400. I am looking for non-gaming desktop that runs 2 db processes and 6 major java processes and 10 chrome windows

Does anyone know when it's going to be shipped? I placed my order on Dec 02, I hope I get it by Dec end or mid-JAN...

Thinking to get below SSD that just went on the deal, it has a heatsink not sure if it can fit.

And bought the below RAM for $115 last week, I hope it's compatible too

Is 16GB DDR5 SODIMM rams + 512GB 2.5" SSD (probably the cheapest one(?)) + Win 11 Pro worth $150 extra if you plan to use Win 11 Pro on it anyway?
Can buy windows 10 pro for less than $20 on grey market sites...
