I highly recommend this 4K player. It runs circles around Xbox Series X and PS5.

Could you please explain further? I'm admittedly a novice when it comes to Blu-ray players, but how can this "run circles" around those gaming systems? Better picture? Better sound? Thanks.

Better tone mapping, Dolby Vision for discs, HDR optimizer, a lot quieter

You can also have extra features enabled (skipping unskipable content, etc.) and making the regular BluRay playback region free with a Firmware modification. It costs around $35 and the developer is EXTREMELY pedantic when it comes to details. But if you google region free Panasonic you'll find the site and it's well worth the money.

I have the 420 version of this, no Dolby vision since I have a Samsung tv, but this is the best 4K player for the price. Just don't use the apps.. they are trash, use Apple TV or Roku

I can't understand why 4k DVD players are still $400. None of this is new technology. Let's be real... These players should be $99.

This is an incredible UHD player. Went from the Sony x700 to this and it was like night & day.

It's a niche product now. Discs are not even going to be in the new Best Buy remodel.

I bought one back in 2017 to go with my new OLED b7. I think I spent $200. I'm also confused by the $400 pricetag.

disc are dead like 5 years ago. Seriously the hassle of disc is just a pain and the cost. I know it's ultimately a better picture and sound but i'm surprised this still goes for $400. Maybe if your rich and have a dedicated theatre room etc and all about the best of the best then I guess. I tried the whole blue ray /UHD btw with xbox one and wasn't blown away. Streaming will only improve
My best looking Blu ray discs are better than 4k streams
