I got one of these a few years back, pretty darn good screen. It's FHD and a TN panel but damn good all the same.

Each have their place. VA looks better sure but for those that play FPS the smearing is too much TN or IPS is the way to go. viewing angles are the worst on TN.

I'm looking to donate a monitor to my kids teacher who is currently using a VGA monitor. Was hoping to spend around $100-$120. Does this work ir can someone recommend something else?
