Can someone share the insight why such a HUGE influx of graphics cards deals over the last week? did something happen? or everyone just stopped mining bitcoins...?

Crypto crash, Ethereum merge, too much stock, 4000 launch

I thought GPUs were made in China to begin with.... Haven't seen any GPUs that say: 'Made in the US, Italy, Paraguay, Brazil, etc'... Seen bunch of 'Made in China' though....

Some cryptos have been moving to Proof of Stake vs Proof of work (mining), removing the need for mining to validate the Blockchain.

The chips aren't made in China, they just assemble them to the boards there.
Mostly the chips come from Taiwan, or Singapore, or the Philippines.

Ethereum not minable with gpu's is the biggest factor I think. That was the main driver for the spike in price over the last couple of years. And now the wave is going the other way, flooding the market with used GPU. Bitcoin is unrelated, it hasn't been profitably minable with gpus for many years now.

Singapore, or the Philippines??? what...
there are only few chip factories for sub 28 nm process, and i am not aware Singapore or Philippines has any. at below 14nm, the only players are Intel, TSMC, Samsung and GlobalFoundries. at least SMIC can do 14 nm and is advance to 7.
let's put it straight, ONLY 5 nation/region have fab that can do graphic card level chips at the commercial level and for profit (20nm or below with decent yield), those are Taiwan (TSMC,UMC), US, (GlobalFoundries, Intel), Germany (Global Foundries), Korea (Samsung, SK Hynix), China (SMIC).
if you talk about any fab for any size. then you should realize China still is the single largest producer. On its own, China produces approximately a quarter of all semiconductors on the planet. so much for "The chips aren't made in China"...

It was the cypto crash that end it all.
