Setting up the Nests was simple. The one quirk was that unlike the Orbis they don't allow the guest and main networks to have the same password, so I had some trouble with some of my IoT devices and that took me a couple hours to sort through, but I got it figured out. I wish they had more ethernet ports, but I'm using a switch in the one place I needed more ports and that seems to work fine. Another quirk is that the Nest just will not accept the internet coming in through the switch, it only detects internet if the internet is coming straight into the WAN port from the modem.
Overall, the Nest devices are smaller and faster despite the quirks, and I can't complain!

So just to follow your thought process here on order of operations
Modem>router>satellites>switch
How I currently have the orbis is with an Ethernet back haul. With the nest need or is compatible with this?
My wired internet speed is FiOS gigabit

Also be warned if you want to hide these or make them blend in the new shiny plastic stands out everywhere. My wife instantly was like "nope those aren't going anywhere in the kitchen or living room." It's weird because the power plus uses the old matte color and looks nice. I took it back to Best Buy and the rep said I was the second guy retuning these new ones today for similar reasons
