While Strasbourg is a wonderful place to visit, both itself and for surrounding areas like the Alsace-Lorraine wine region and the city of Colmar, it's NOT going to look like the first photo in the OP from Jan-Mar! Wee bit colder.

Good price though, especially since it's right near Germany. Definitely try to visit some of the small wine villages nearby -- great wine and very quaint, with 400-500 year old houses.
