I have had a front loader since 1999 and never had leaks. My first GE washer was working fine until 2015 and I sold it and bought a bigger GE one. I still have it and works great.
Does anyone know if you need to buy a stacking kit to put dryer over washer (or if they can be stacked)? $800 for a washer/dryer set installed (with a 2 year warranty) seems great
See the best buy site for pedestal and stack kit part numbers.
still afraid to go with front loader, a good percent of folks report leaks
Been on the SAME front loader since 2005 zero leaks only trouble with it was the cold water solenoid, cheap $25 fix. Now the hot water solenoid is on the fritz, not as cheap so jumping in on this deal for the upgrade in features also. The old front loader was an LG, this Whirlpool has a twin model in LG so I suspect LG also makes this Whirlpool (rebadge). Just remember to keep the washer door open after washes so drum can totally dry out so you won't have stinky washer issues. Also, make sure the front loader is on SOLID level ground, like a concrete slab or your spin cycle will dance if it goes unbalanced. Spongy wood floors that have give are not friendly to fast spinning front loaders.

I have this unit, it's OK. The controls are slow to respond and are super sensitive. I have cabinets above the washer, and I constantly brush the controls and its like I pressed all the buttons at once.
Does anyone have experience with the free Costco installation service? This is my first time. Will they help to uninstall the existing washer and dryer, by disconnecting the water valves(for washer), venting pipe(for dryer), etc.., then install the new washer and dryer? I appreciate you sharing any experience and lessons learned for the Costco installation.
I took a picture(attached) of the power plug of the existing dryer, will it fit this new Whirlpool dryer?
Thanks!!
