I have had a front loader since 1999 and never had leaks. My first GE washer was working fine until 2015 and I sold it and bought a bigger GE one. I still have it and works great.

Had a new LG from Costco installed a week ago, installer installed it with new hoses.
Did they charge for the hoses and any other parts to get your washer and dryer working? Thanks!

Only thing necessary for the electric washer install was the hose hook-up. They replaced the hoses.

Aren't all washers electric?
(whereas a dryer can be electric or gas)

I have this unit, it's OK. The controls are slow to respond and are super sensitive. I have cabinets above the washer, and I constantly brush the controls and its like I pressed all the buttons at once.
does it do a good job washing the clothes?

I bought this exact washer and matching electric dryer last September for $800 each. Super happy with both. No problems whatsoever. No leaks.

Is it big enough to wash a king comforter?

Thanks OP, ordered the washer and electric dryer.

Does anyone have experience with the free Costco installation service? This is my first time. Will they help to uninstall the existing washer and dryer, by disconnecting the water valves(for washer), venting pipe(for dryer), etc.., then install the new washer and dryer? I appreciate you sharing any experience and lessons learned for the Costco installation.

I took a picture(attached) of the power plug of the existing dryer, will it fit this new Whirlpool dryer?

Thanks!!
all electric dryers run on 220v, and that's the plug for 220v. so your new whirlpool will have the same plug

No Wi-Fi on this right? I know it's not a deal breaker, but phone notifications are a nice feature.

Does anyone know if you need to buy a stacking kit to put dryer over washer (or if they can be stacked)? $800 for a washer/dryer set installed (with a 2 year warranty) seems great
Build or buy a frame to stack the dryer above the washer. Otherwise the vibration transfers to the dryer according to my repair guy.

I'd like to think this Whirlpool is as well made as the Frigidaire Galley which was the first U.S. made front loader for residential use. Mine was still going strong when I moved 17 years later. Never any problems or leaks Save the tub lock-down hardware if it may need to be moved.

Been on the SAME front loader since 2005 zero leaks only trouble with it was the cold water solenoid, cheap $25 fix. Now the hot water solenoid is on the fritz, not as cheap so jumping in on this deal for the upgrade in features also. The old front loader was an LG, this Whirlpool has a twin model in LG so I suspect LG also makes this Whirlpool (rebadge). Just remember to keep the washer door open after washes so drum can totally dry out so you won't have stinky washer issues. Also, make sure the front loader is on SOLID level ground, like a concrete slab or your spin cycle will dance if it goes unbalanced. Spongy wood floors that have give are not friendly to fast spinning front loaders.
This is definitely NOT a rebadged LG. They do not share any parts in common. The only rebadge LG has ever made were some Kenmore models in the last decade (here in the US).

Anyone know if the Whirlpool pedestals are universal? I have an existing WP duet set I'm replacing.
