American Express looks like they're running the 150k sign up bonus again. They've run this promotion a few times in the past, and it's the largest sign up bonus they offer. There was a little disclaimer on the site warning that the deal may not persist, so YMMV in the title just in case. If the deal doesn't show up for you, try an incognito window. Some users have reported that it will eventually show if you just keep starting new sessions. Be sure to close entirely out of incognito each time to ensure you're starting a new session.

Nerdwallet values Amex points at 2ccp [nerdwallet.com], making 150k points worth ~$3000.

Earn 100,000 150,000 Membership Rewards® Points
after you spend $6,000 on purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months of Card Membership.†

This offer may not be available if you leave this web page and return later.
https://www.americanexpress.com/u.../platinum/

Edit: My bad for not including it the first time through, but this is a premium card that comes with a premium annual fee of $695. The perks will more than pay for it, but you'll have to make sure to use them. Here are the yearly credits that Amex offers with the card.

$200 credit for Hotels
$200 credit for Uber
$200 credit for Flights
$240 credit for Digital Entertainment (Disney+ bundle, Audible, Peacock, SiriusXM or NYT)
$100 for Global entry or TSA pre check
$189 credit for CLEAR airport security check
$100 credit for Saks department stores
$155 credit for Walmart+
$300 credit for Equinox memberships

If you're a crazy person that some how manages to use all of these - it's $1684 worth of credits, nearly $1000 more than the annual fee. However even sane people can easily cover the $695 just by traveling as you normally would.

Pro tip for the $100 Saks credit. Amex gives $50 credit for the first half of the year and another $50 for the second half. You can just go and buy a $50 gift card each time the credit refreshes until you have enough for a big ticket item.

Beware for anyone who is opening this new card -- The Amex Pay Over Time feature is enabled by default. I just got burned by this because I assumed there was the standard 25 day grace period on the bill. Make sure you turn that feature off -- it's clearly a money-grab from Amex.

Took me about 50 windows to get the 150k offer to show up just now. I have a multi session browser with rotating IP addresses so thankfully it only took me about 3 minutes to finally get the offer.
Do you use VPN to change IP?
I'm getting a 100K offer but get 80K offer with incognito mode lol

150k offer still shows up right now -- you can try a VPN or maybe connect to your phone's mobile hotspot (if your home internet doesn't show it)

Lifetime = 7 years

You can also churn each Amex plat card that exists -

Personal (standard)
Morgan Stanley Personal
Charles Schwab Personal
Business

Then repeat with spouse / partner (if possible) with referral.

MS And Charles Schwab require brokerage accounts
I applied for Amex Plat. on 10may2016 and closed on 5july2017 , do you think Im eligible? Do they count 7years from when I open it or close it? Thanks

Update: Just got approved for new Amex Plat 125k+$200 statement credit using my wife link Re-ferral Wave

Flight upgrade with points is ending Dec 3rd. What should you redeem points for to get the most value?

That was never a good value anyway- best value is always transfer TO the airlines and redeem for reward tickets.

Which airlines depend where you're going, what airlines are available locally, what partner charts for those combos look like, etc.

But you can pretty commonly get 1.5-2.5 cents a point for coach fares, 4--8 cents for business or first class...sometimes better.
