I had some hesitation on these because of common complaints on app, but I'm enjoying these cameras so far. And I think the app redesign will help a ton

It's not perfect, but it has come a long way. The camera features work quite well. Being able to adjust how dark it is when it turns on, or what will trigger the camera whether a person, animal, or vehicle all seems to work fine. It is even able to detect a person a good distance away, for me it will trigger if it sees someone across the street.

Which cam would you recommend then that has a good software too? Market is loaded with cams with no clear winner. Eufy is a Chinese company. Are people not concerned with installing their cam? Is Ring software better than Google's?
