If it's not broken don't bother why take the risk on a new model that could give you issues.

I bought this set about a week ago when it was on sale for $800. Gonna try to get a price match for each but not sure if they will accept it since it's separated out.

But about the dryer, those that are complaining about it not fully drying the clothes didn't read the manual and notice the default mode is "energy saver" that uses less heat and takes 40+ minutes longer. Not sure how that saves energy when down here in Texas gas is much cheaper than electricity but I immediately turned that feature off and now it drys clothes great.
Much better than my 10 year old Samsung front loader gas dryer anyway.
It doesn't have a stainless steel drum but for the price it does the job great.

Any opinions on this verses the whirlpool in the other Costco thread?

FYI. There is a cost for gas installationand a separate for steam hookup. Both came to $250 for me which made no sense for a rental.

Ha, just checked availability for the zips my family lives in: The gas is available in Kentucky where my brother lives but doesn't have Natural Gas service, and the Electric seems to be available in Chicagoland where I don't have a 220V service set up for electric dryer. Checks out Big Grin

Huh? It says basic installation is included. I ordered the LG combo set two weeks ago from Costco. They delivered and hooked up the gas dryer for free. They wouldn't hook up the water to the washer though since there was some minor corrosion, and that's their policy. The tech said that's almost always the case and that we could connect the water ourselves, which we did without issue.

TL;DR Costco hooked up my gas dryer for free, and this was only two weeks ago.
