We ended up having to donate this one. Not great for an easily distractable group. Doesn't look terribly complex, but not the simplest gameplay mechanics and was too tough for us to get everyone on the same page with the drinking and child distractions. Maybe they're all idiots too... who knows

Great price for a great game! Holidays are coming up and this is a cool spin on a trick taking game that is easy to pick up with family.

This is a fantastic price for a fantastic game. They are 50 missions with each getting progressively more difficult; ie adding mechanics and needing to be more precise in how one completes the mission. It is a cooperative trick-taking game, so the ability of all the players to understand how trick-taking works with be the degree to which there will be enjoyment. It might be fully the case that for your group, the game is fun only up until mission 25 when the rest of the players can no longer cover for Joe's not exactly getting card game mechanics.

Here is an example of a Mission someplace in the 10-20. There are 4 suits 1-9. 4 trump cards 1-4. All cards are dealt. Players play one card in order. High card wins. This is a trick. No table talk relating to cards/play is allowed. Mission: Each 1 card from the 4 suits must win a trick.

Played it for the first time couple nights ago. Its definitely a heavy brain game! If you've never played card "Trick" playing games, this is a fun twist as your are working together to possibly help your teammates "win" or get a required card possibly from your hand to your teammates hand. The missions do ease you into it. However, this definitely requires big brain power and not a sit back and chill card playing game.

Really fun game. The sequel has much more replayability than this one, but for this cheap it's still worth it to see if you like it to get the deep sea one.

This is a great card game! I probably prefer the mission mechanics in the sequel (mission deep sea) a little better, but for the price this one is still a great game and worth the cheap price.
As others have mentioned, it's a co-op trick taking game. If you don't like trick taking card games (spades, bridge, euchre, rook, sheepshead, etc) you probably won't like this game, but if you like trick taking games, this one is great. It's fully cooperative instead of teams or partners against each other. Trick mechanics are same (or very similar) to most trick taking games, but with the cooperative aspect this could be a good game to teach trick mechanics and strategy (how to lead, how to follow, etc to give information to others) to newer card players, as you could opt to allow some table discussion (at first, for learning purposes with newer players, but don't make bad habits) as long as someone in the group is knowledgeable. If everyone is fully new to trick taking card games, the difficulty of this could ramp up pretty quickly. The variance in missions and trick mechanics do make it a thinking and paying attention game that will actually challenge you (later missions can get pretty darn hard, even with all players being pretty good card players).

This game is stellar, and I'm not even a huge fan of other trick taking games.

Love this game, picked it up last time it was for sale. Like that it's co-operative. Everyone working together to all win! Highly recommended, look forward to more "The Crew" games.

I love this game, especially for groups that have a decent amount of experience with game mechanics and thinking through challenges. I already have this, but bought another to keep on-hand for when I need to give a gift.

This is a great game if you are looking for a quick, simple, coop game. It's a fun game to play as a family. It might be overly simplistic for a group of adults but it is great for our family with young kids.
