honestly if I could get this down a bit more I would just get this.
Costco deal is dead (but that's the 2nd time they had it, so it will probably come back). I've been torn between these two, and the Slim 7 that was recently $975 (16", brighter screen, I think 5800, 16GB RAM, 512 GB SSD).
Slim pickings it seems for a touchscreen laptop with a graphics card, which is what I'm after. Any other suggestions?
$170 less for 16gb less ram and no 2 year warranty from Costco. also 6900 vs 6800.
I agree except that if I get it directly from Lenovo I can get incentives like $100 off by using Amex and 6% off or whatever using the R thing. So I am wondering if you can customize something similar to this on the Lenovo site .

I handled this at Costco when it was on sale. Terrific form factor and the build quality just seemed tight...like it would hold up well over the years. I expected the screen's sharpness and vibrancy to wow me, but it was just good.

Funny, I had the exact opposite experience. It felt really nice to use, and felt really sturdy and sleek. I also thought the screen looked great, but I don't have much experience with high-resolution laptops so take that with a grain of salt. The only complaint I had was that the case is an absolute fingerprint magnet.

do you know if the wifi card is soldered on the slim 7?
I think whoever posted this deal has it wrong. On lenovo.com it says:
16 GB LPDDR5-6400MHz (Soldered)
You're probably right. It makes sense for Lenovo to offer different SKUs with less or more actual chips, but doesn't make much sense for them to be different speeds of RAM.
