It showed up all smashed to hell. I was like "I could have done that myself."
Took 2 weeks to get a replacement. Arggh.
Not impressed by this price. I think the x95 65" should hit 800-1000. And worth it for the wide viewing angle and better local dimming

I got 65X90CJ from Costco last years and it developed a middle screen blotch of discoloration. I call costco concierge services and they connected me to sony concierge. I had to run some tests and sony replaced it with the X90K version as they do not have 90J anymore but it does not give confidence in long-term quality. 5 years warranty and Costco concierge are the way to go.

It says $1600
I really need 65" TV, and this has been posted in other threads too, but $1000 vs $500 Samsun TU700D. This is going to be the "living room" tv where it's not going to be primary watching source, or just for background or to just check something type of situation when friends are over. I have A80J for my main viewing area, so I am not sure if I should get another Sony (but LED) or get something cheaper?
Samsung TU700D is $480 and LG UQ8000 is $500
Are these really horrible, even for just occasional viewing of stuff? I don't want it to look horrible too, since it's going to be first thing people will see.
What to do?
That's the historical low if I remember correctly.
Overall, it's a great TV. Great black/white contrast. But the tradeoff there is judder. You can reduce the judder with black frame injection, but that kills just how bright the brights are - which is a high point of this TV. It's only noticeable with panning. So, if you watch a lot of sports, this might not be the TV for you.
Gaming and high frame rate content is amazing, though. Feel like the TV might have conned me into upgrading my GPU just to do the TV justice.
I purchased a LG OLED65C7P almost 5 yrs ago, we love it.
But there is a small burn in from a CNN Chryon logo you dont see at all 75% of the time then 10% of the time its faint, then 15% you see it. We've lived with it for 1+ yrs. Now we have a semi finished basement and want get a 65inch tv down there for the young kids and occasional adults. I see 2 options.
I move the LG downstairs (they will never notice) and I buy the cheapest OLED quality 65inch under 1k?
Or I stick with the damaged LG upstairs and get them $300 BLACK FRIDAY special for the basement (no gaming on either tv)
thoughts, suggestions
