Anyway, it's a very bad idea to put travel documents with credit cards and other ID. And this thing is huge.
Good deal. But in a busy airport, carrying your passport in your hand instead of your pocket or on you increases the chances of losing it. You're better off buying a passport holder that will fit in your pocket.

As a father, I'm usually carrying passports for my whole family. Thinking this might be good for that.

Not to sound like a shill, but I just took this wallet [bigskinny.net](Big Skinny, $42 retail) around the world. Fits in a normal pocket, holds pretty much everything (passport, a couple cards, ID x 2, Global Entry card, two spaces for cash (or cash/receipts), and has a zippered pocket - ostensibly for change, but I use it for a single-pack of advil and decongestant for allergies/flying.

I have a smaller BigSkinny I use normally, and they tend to hold up well over time.

So 4.7 stars out of 5 (94% percent positive) is bad? Sure thing! Let me guess, you are going to tell us (again) how the 4,687 reviews are just "paid shills." The last time you claimed such was with a product that has 22 THOUSAND reviews Wink

What is your threshold for a good review 4.8/5, 4.9/5? 4.999999999999 stars out of 5...or is that still too low for you? How many millions of reviews are finally needed so you can trust (the vast majority) of them? LOL...dismissing everything isn't being a "skeptic," that's called a compulsion.

These are actually quite convenient with a family especially for air and rail travel. However I do not usually put credit cards or cash in them.

You are better off with cross body type of passport holder. I travel often to Europe and I bought years ago one from TJMaxx. It's very convenient. And it also has the RFID protection.

Exactly. Carrying this bulky thing would only make you a mark.

After trying a lot of organizers, my favorite travel accessory is... cargo pants. Passport, boarding pass, normal wallet, earbuds, misc papers, phone charger, sleep mask & earplugs, boom, everything gets its own pocket and stays close at hand *without actually occupying my hands*. No more wondering if I'll be able to reach or rummage through my carry-on when seated. All the important pockets are velcroed or zippered shut so it's impossible for stuff to slide out and (I think) at least a little harder to pickpocket.

My wife finds them unstylish, though, so I'm not allowed to wear them once we get to the destination. Only in transit.

I have a version of this, not the Amazon basics, but the generic Chinese version this was clearly based on. It's very handy as a document carrier for the paper copies of travel plans, emergency phone numbers, maps, pen, small notebook, etc you might take on a trip in case your phone loses service or is swiped. Also used it to store receipts and any paper bits I picked up on the trip. I traveled with a second phone and this could hold that as well. I never used it to hold my passport or cards and seems overkill for that. Basically useful as a small organizer if your trip requires one.

Amazon states they adjust their products' ratings.

Say they "may" adjust product ratings.

"Adjust" not reinvent. You can still clearly see the breakdown of 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 star reviews. Find me a review where someone says "this only gets 1 star" and Amazon "adjusted" it to another rating....
