Yous should read up on what those certifications mean.

https://www.onlogic.com/company/i...fications/

ETL AND UL ARE EQUIVALENT. CE also requires the same standards as UL and ETL, though, CE allows self certification.

ETL is done by a ver reputable company called Intertek, UL is obviously it's own company. both are NRTL (nationally recognized test labs). They are both held to the same standard and test and implement the same IEC safety standards and tests. Saying one is worse that the other is silly.

For CE you want to look at the declaration of conformity for the product and see what standards it is declared to be compliant with/tested to.

In the USA most companies that get CE marks are working with UL or Intertek to get the same safety standards tests as if they had. UL or ETL mark, but are rather pursuing an international rather than USA centric product release.

The REAL thing you should be looking for is not the STAMP, but what safety standards the device was tested to. I e. IEC 62368-1 which replaced IEC 60950 and IEC 60065. 60950 was originally a UL standard that harmonized with the European standard to become an IEC standard.

It is very easy to get a UL listing for something that isn't even safety related and you can put the stamp on your device.

Sadly the stamps themselves don't tell you much. Assuring that the devices are tested to sensible IEC standards is what matters.

Please don't use your personal anecdotes as an industry guideline.
Not UL listed. If it's CE then it's bargain basement.

I say that, because I've been seeking out more devices with UL ratings lately, due to the quantity of products that I have purchased with CE and ETL logos that have either failed silently or catastrophically. None of the UL listed items have even blown up or melted on me.
Seriously? The product is otherwise rated 4.5 stars, and is a reputable brand. Don't dwell this review from 2020.

65 Watts is the same wattage as the Steam Deck's charger, so this would be great for that (assuming it doesn't catch on fire…)

Fire Hazard. Read this review before you buy: "Plug almost caught fire! Luckily I was sat next to it, was using their own cable with it from Anker. The plugs started to steam out of the USB port and hissing. I unplugged it right away before anything else could happen. Amazon refunded me and Anker wanted photos of the plug (the plug I explained looked fine as I caught it in time) they still wanted to deal with me via email"

the decks charger is only 45 watts this should be more than capable.

we all know that there are fake positive reviews, but I have a hunch that fake negative reviews are also taking place.

Nice. Just got a Chromebook that uses a 65w charger and my Wife has a Macbook Pro. This should be fine for both of us.
