I was going to buy one, but majority of the reviews I read. All complained about the arm rest being solid plastic. As well as constantly moving around, because they don't lock into place.

The camels agree this is basically the lowest price ever. Incredible deal post-pandemic in particular (normal price was around $415 pre-pandemic, so still good).

Anyone own? Comparison to the Leap and Gesture heavy hitters? Seems to have a lot of good adjustability.

You can buy foam armrests you can attach over the plastic for $15. I have them on my work chairs. Work great IMO and easy to replace if they wear out.

The armrest moving around I don't know.

I'm sitting in it right now. I like that the arm rests can move easily. I was using a $100 officedepot chair before this so my opinion might not be the best. The lumbar/lower back support is so much better than my previous chair. It is well designed and would buy it again at that price.

The caster wheels on this model are cheaply made and people often pay extra $35-40 to swap them out with an off brand. So basically it's a $400 chair. It's still a great price for a Steelcase.

I've had this chair for a few years now. I highly recommend against it given how expensive these chairs are if you're using it for 8+ hours at a time... I wish I had gone with an Aeron instead which I used at a previous job

Does anyone know if these can be returned easily if I don't like it? Amazon says "Free Returns" but I'm not sure how I could ship an assembled chair?

I'm looking for a better replacement for my Autonomous Ergo Chair, which in my opinion is average at best. After about 2 years, the seat cushion might as well be concrete, and I was never happy with the cheap armrests.

I had a Steelcase chair at work once and it was great. Also considering an Xchair if they ever go like 50% off...

Not sure about this one specifically and Amazon, but when my partner ordered a Steelcase chair directly from Steelcase, it came fully assembled in a giant box.

You can buy a pre-owed Herman Miller aeron or Steelcase Leap in good condition with that money.
