Once you get shop card, immediately log back in and turn OFF auto renew. That flags system to send you out marketing communication (normally on monthly flyer) to renew with $20 off for 2024 via in store.

- Used "Holiday22" code at signup and saw the $0.01 discount applied.

Additional Information on Digital Shop Card that might be useful:This is very annoying. A second chat will cost me more in time than the $45 savings I was promised. The website sucks and I did not appreciate switching from Mastercard to VISA to avoid problems only to have problems.

On Nov.12, I signed up online for the basic Costco membership using the HOLIDAY22 code, which discounted the cost to $59.99, but I completely forgot to do the auto-renewal at this point.
I figured I would have to work with their customer service in order to get the Shop Card, but I kept procrastinating on that, and the Digital Shop Card actually arrived via e-mail earlier today on Nov.18 without me having taken any other action
