If you're getting your hopes up about this, and thinking you'll be "the exception" to all the negative experiences...prepare to be disappointed. Read the previous thread about last week's Walmart + promo. There are 10+ pages of complaints. Walmart didn't even have the "Buy" button at noon, it was immediately replaced with OOS. I repeatedly refreshed the page from 11:40 - 12:30 and it was constantly OOS.

Walmart isn't trying to sell TV's, they're selling W+ memberships. I was gullible too, and paid for the membership, and thought I'd get a TV...at 12 noon, in the middle of the day, when MILLIONS of people were watching this highly promoted sale. Nope. Instead, I got the 55" from another SD post for Target for $199 on Sat night at 2am. Already have the TV in hand. That thread is full of positive experiences.

Granted, one guy said he went into the physical Walmart, and at noon they price matched the TV with the online price, and he walked out with it. Might be the way to go. Otherwise, don't get your hopes up. Another "deal" at noon that sounds "too good to be true".... Fool me once... Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

I bought one of these 3 years ago when it sold for $300. Still going strong.

If they keep it OOS, like it currently is, until noon on the 7th, there's a better chance of getting one. The Hisense deal last month didn't start until 12 noon, but Walmart let those that bought earlier at a higher price get adjustments.

I realize that this is a model specific for Walmart, but is this equivalent to the 4-series 2021 or 2022?

Hmmm. If I can upload a photo I'll post a screenshot.
No, I believe you. I wonder if it's because I need both shipped? Thank you though.

You will never really know. They don't list anything on the TCL site and their tech support is shifty at best.

I mentioned I have the 55S20 which I bought for $150 as a UHD HDR 4K TCL 2 years ago. It apparently is advertised with a 120Hz rate, but it doesn't really have one. This one is apparently a 60Hz. Is it really different, or did they just get caught one too many times stating their specs which weren't actually true?

What's better this or the 58 inch element that was at target for $199.99?
Having owning a tcl 4 series newer one and the same Hisense tv from target, if you want the extra 3 inches I'd go with the Hisense all day it's been great for us. Can't go wrong with this one, though

He is talking about Element though. I would hard pass on anything Element without getting an extended warranty.

just in case it hasn't been mentioned. you can just buy walmart+ for a month at $12 and get the deal. you may even get your money back if you cancel (if they count the first 30 days as trial).
it clearly says on the print 'no refunds'.

I have free 3 month Walmart + membership thru T-mobile. Do I not qualify to buy during the sale? When I click it asks me to be a paid member.

I actually picked up the Target Element last week and was surprised at how thick it was. I also have a Hisense 55" that is about 2" from the front to the back, and the Element is at least 4". Idk how this TCL compares, but that's my feedback on the Element. If it's going on a stand it's no big deal, but I was planning on mounting the Element and it really sticks out too far.

Also, the picture on this Element was pretty rough. Watching football, the black colors really blended in with one another. We had to tweak the settings on the tv, and then it got much better, but the out of the box settings honestly made me want to return it. I'm keeping it now though. Just my 2 cents. Smilie

Make sure to grab a Google TV for $39 instead of using that Roku OS.
