I bought this for our 2012 Lexus when this special was ran a couple of years ago. I thought it would be the equivalent of getting a subscription to an Autozone DIY repair manual as Autozone is the parent company/owner of the service. Unfortunately, the information they provided online for the Lexus was very minimal compared to YouTube videos and other information that DIYers post on the internet. Fortunately, at that time there was a money-back guarantee and I was able to get a refund. I'm not seeing that option any longer so big YMMV if they have anything really useful for your vehicle. You may want to inquire about whether a money back guarantee is still included.

I'm glad you went into painstaking detail with your description of the product specifications and its use cases so that I didn't have to spend a good amount of time discovering what was even being sold before I could then start analyzing whether it was a "slick" deal or not. Was it for the LS460? I read Toyota tech info provides more details. Any comments?

No, it was the IS250C. YouTube and the ClubLexus forums have probably been my biggest two sources of information on repairs.

I'm part of CL tok but lookup at the Toyota tech info and two day sub is $25 and people download everything as pdf within that.

It is a good service, the same one that mechanics use. In my case, I have learned that the mechanics use it better than I do, but that does not mean the data is bad or inadequate. Experience and knowledge goes a long ways, and I am learning, but I don't trust the advice of folks as much I do this plan. For 50$/3y, it is a good value for me, but I could see it where it is expensive for folks who do not use it, since 3 years can go very quickly.
