Nothing stopping you, but it will show as currently financed until the 2 years are up, or if you pay it off early. If you choose to pay it off early, the bill credits on your account will continue for the full 2 years, but you'll be able to sell a truly paid off phone.

Just know that the device cannot be unlocked until it has been on the T-Mobile network for 40 days.

I am in the middle of filing a small claims because T-mobile has not credit me any for phones I traded-in 16 months ago. Please tread carefully.

I got 8 phones (4x N200, 4x REVVL V+ 5G) from when the deal first began, probably close to 2 years ago. Traded in flip phones from Sprint or Verizon that didn't even have IMEI numbers and got monthly statement credits. I may still have a Nextel phone to do this promo.

I don't even understand how anyone can complain about basically free phones. I guess since I'm only paying about $140 for 9 lines I'm also a lot less likely to switch to another provider.
What have you done so far with 8 phones?

My wife is using one as a gaming phone (additional account for games she already play), and I'm using another for an extra line and for testing (I'm a network engineer). I paid off the rest and sold them, and am getting monthly credit deducted off my bill.

Did you talk to TForce on Twitter? The ones on the phone are useless but TForce fixed some F-ups for me when trading in 4 phones earlier this year via mail. But I have heard the horror stories with trading in stuff to anyone (TMo, Samsung) which is why I took video and photos of the phones prior to packing them showing them completely reset and not damaged. Even saved the confirmation when I mailed them via FedEx at a Staples location.

They still tried to screw me out on one phone not being turned in "damaged" until I got in contact with TForce and told them I had video and photo proof prior to packing. It was fixed within an hour or two.
Yes, I talked to T-Force rep on Twitter about 4-5 times and they keep saying they cannot help me on Twitter and refer me to phone rep. I can only assume that they do not want any evidence. Fortunately, I have photos of the screen that I took at the T-mobile store not showing any Trade-in process bound to my account when I visited them to try in-store trade-in. Also, I still have email from phone rep showing trade-in shipping labels with wrong IMEI (I even mentioned this to the phone rep).

I just traded an iphone XR, credits started showing up in just a few weeks.

Hope the small claim filing fee is less that the cost of the phone!
Legals fees for filing under $5000 is $50. $2000 > $50.

Oh that sounds messy. Sounds like an employee at the store might've bungled something up, accidentally or not.

"Any phone is eligible", that is any phone, any condition.

I don't understand the reason behind this. Why they even bother? Do they expect ppl to keep old phones around? What do they do with traded in 'junk' phones anyway?
Move all the 3g phones to their 5g network as they are retiring 3g

Im a reseller so yes i want to get a free phone in exchange for a cracked phone not worth more than $10 thats sitting in my junk drawer. How is getting a free phone and than flipping it on ebay for $150 a bad idea?

If I do the trade phone, the 24 months of promotional credits will be tied to an existing line on T-Mobile postpaid plan? Like it'll ask you which existing phone number to tie the credits to, is that how it works?
