Would highly recommend this game. It's an excellent beginner-friendly and great start to the "hobby" board games.

Rules can be learned in a few minutes, and game length is pretty short between 10-20 mins.

And if you like it, you can get the regular "big" version with the U.S. map.
It's quite a bit shorter than the regular one. I have the full USA, London, and New York. They all have little variances that make them a little different in how you play to maximize your points. This is more of a let's play a quick game, rather than the full one that's very involved. As the person above me stated, this is an entry level ticket to ride. Definitely worth $9.
Does anyone have experience playing this game? It was in-store at Walmart on clearance for $4.

My 5 year old loves this and it's good enough for a quick play. There is some strategy and decision making involved it is more interesting than the Junior version. Wouldn't think there are many board games that can touch this for $9. This is my go-to kids birthday gift.

All of the Ticket to Ride games are really fun! Everyone who has played it with my family has enjoyed it. My kids like it too but kids probably need to be at least 7? to be able to strategize and understand the rules.

This is OK, it would be great to have deals on Europe or full US version.

Wait a few more weeks. I bought Ticket to Ride Europe for $25 a couple Black Fridays ago.

FWIW, the USA [amazon.com] and Europe [amazon.com] games currently have $12 coupons, bringing them down to $35.99 each. The Nordic [amazon.com] game (my favorite for 2-players; it has max 3) is $23.62 after coupon.

The 1912 expansion [amazon.com] (requires TTR:Europe) is just $12.74 after coupon.

Yes, we have it. It's a good, small-ish version of the normal TTR games. Mechanics are the same, so it's not really a "junior" version (though even our 9yo picked it up just fine), it's just a smaller scale so it can be completed quicker.

My biggest complaint with all of the TTR games is still the ease with which a whole runthrough is destroyed if the board is disrupted. I keep wanting to back the board with sheet metal and install little magnets in each train/bus.

I really like both this and Ticket to Ride: New York. They play in less than 20 minutes while the full-sized games play in over an hour. They both have a way to gain bonus points, but they're different for each game. I don't remember the specifics, but I liked that it was very easy to score at the end of the game because you keep track of scoring as you go along, whereas you spend a lot of time in the full-sized version scoring at the end of the game. Someone mentioned this is a good gateway game as well as good for kids that like games. I've given my nephews Ticket to Ride Jr, but I'll get this for them for Christmas!

The electronic/online versions are very good - it's obviously missing the tactile/physical part but if everyone has a device it plays faster than the physical one and you don't have to put it away when you're done.

You could probably do a hybrid where you use tablets/phones to play but also place pieces on the real board. Cards would have to be done in the app.

I don't see that price on Amazon with your link. It takes me to a page without a price. Anyone else getting this?
