Shout-out pokemon for finally printing enough
I'm so glad I didn't pay extra to preorder this. A local card shop tried to charge me $240.
I wouldn't listen to these others guys. This will make a great gift for your kid unless he's a 20+ living in your basement. There's no legitimate source that supports promo missing from this set being a common occurrence or actually happening. The promo rumor comes from the 3 promo cards coming in 1 sealed package instead of 3 separate ones. This annoys some collectors because the cards might not be 100% perfect condition, other are scalpers trying to get more inventory.

In term of price it includes 16 packs which generally run around $64. Each promo card is currently on resale at 30 dollars, will likely drop down to 20$. So there's decent value in the set, another reason why it's so popular

Just opened mine this weekend. The promo cards are way off center but got 17 packs instead of 16. Hoping to get some good pulls at least.

Pokemon characters used to be cute.
Now they're weird and strange. Some new pokemon look straight evil.
I guess they're out of ideas.

You should want to collect these because you love it and not because it's limited. I've spent years buying toys thinking, "Oh my gosh it's rare!" Only to later absolutely not even care about it.

I've been much happier getting something because I genuinely wanted and liked it and not because it's a limited edition.

I bought 6 of these to open them with my family and all of them got the worst hits o little hits possible the odds to get big hits is the really bad these are the worst packs ever for real and I saw a lot complaints for the same issue on Google and youtube the only good thing about this Ultra pack is the 3 Promo card I always watch tons of videos to see which pokemon boxes have the best odds same thing with the new Reprint Evolving skies ETBs don't buy them worst odds to get any good hit or not even nothing for me the best adds to get good hits are on Battle Boxes or battle stadium boxes

Your odds of getting a good "hit" are the same regardless if you buy the individual packs, or the larger ETB's, UPC's or booster boxes which contain the same packs.

You effectively got RNG'd, for someone like your experience, there's someone out there that did great. Unfortunate that you ended up on the short end of the stick here but a "low hit rate" isn't even close to a valid complaint here.

Based off what I've seen posted from some groups, these UPC packs do seem to be abysmal. I'd be curious to see some organized data on it though to put assumptions to rest.

I got an alternate artwork syvleon from mine, not to mention other smaller hits. Guarantee youre gonna get a lot less people like me "posting" online than those who were unlucky. Only reason I responded was that whenever there's a limited release on slick deals there's always people discouraging people from buying these for their kids. It's a nice amount of packs and extras for a kid. Paying more for an item isn't going to increase your rng.

You must of forgotten that Target does not allow returns or exchanges on trading cards and collectibles anymore. I like many other people have learned this the hard way
