You know what they say about opinions. But if you search youtube reviews, you'll find way more positive ones (from more respected reviewers with way more followers) than you'll find negative ones. Here are just a couple:

Same story with the user reviews. Can't please everyone, but most people are more than happy with these speakers, and I don't think you're going to find better for the price.

One thing to note is that this set goes on sale for $200 semi-regularly. So if you don't love the white, there's a pretty good chance you'll be able to catch the black version for only a little more if you're patient. Perhaps Black Friday?

I opted for the larger S83 center speaker for better timbre matching between the front three speakers. I think that's this setup's only drawback. But hard to complain at this price point.

I used a sub from my previous system, and plan on adding Atmos speakers after Christmas.

These [amazon.com]. The S 803 speakers in this kit have connections to use these as up-firing toppers. But I want to experiment with mounting them at the top or my wall, firing down on the listening position.

It will be 5.1.2 for now. I'd love to do 5.2.4 or 7.2.4, but good receivers with that many channels are still out of my budget. I'm hoping they'll come down in couple years and I'll make the upgrade down the road. But my next upgrade, after the Atmos channels, will be a second sub. (Or maybe before the Atmos if a too-good-to-resist deal pops up on Black Friday.)

Price doesn't equate to value.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning on using for your Atmos speakers? Is it for a 5.1.2, 5.1.4. or a different config?

I have these and I must say they're a great value and perform surprisingly well. The only downside is the center channel. I have to add +6db to comfortably hear the dialogue. Get a better center and this is perfect, I have a SVS SB1000 sub with it. A few days ago I purchase two KEF Q150 speakers and honestly I can't tell the difference. The KEFS are on their way back to Amazon.

getting the jamos for these good sale prices is some of the best price per value out there. never get these at retail tho.
hopefully adorama runs the s809 set on sale again this year
fyi jamo is owned by klipsch. idk if they are made in the same factory but it wouldn't surprise me.

Why is it so hard for speaker sales to tell you the driver sizes? It's seriously annoying i have to dig through a manual to find it

They should be, you could always return them if you don't like them. I have them and they're great.
